Angelita Sanchez Tanguma, age 81, passed away on August 25, 2026. Angelita worked for and retired from the South San Independent School District. In her spare time, Angelita enjoyed shopping. She had a “gritty” personality and was always ready for the next adventure.

Angelita is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Sanchez, and Luciana Carraman; two sons, Jesse Roy De La Paz and Arturo Amador.

She is survived by her husband of thirty years Juan Tanguma, daughters Lucy Ramirez, Nancy Muñiz, Kathy Calderon, and Mary Abundis, grandchildren; Adam, Matthew, Amanda, and Valerie Ramirez, Jose, Jesse, Vanessa and Jasmin Rodriguez, Rosemary, Alberto, Alexander, Jonathan, and Isabella Kamille Calderon, Hector, Arturo, Jesse, and Mariana Abundis. Also surviving Angelita are her brother, Juan Sanchez, two sisters: Janie McBay and Mary Lou Perez, nieces, and nephews.
