Angelita "Angie" Wiese

March 4, 1953 — September 2, 2025

Angelita L. Wiese was born the fourth child of Valeriano B. Ladia and Magdalena Valdez Ladia, the only girl among seven brothers. “Angie”, as she was known to friends and family, carried a strong sense of self throughout her life. She loved learning and education, eventually earning a BS in Psychology. She worked for many years at Northeast Lakeview College, Alamo College District, as a Test Coordinator. Though soft spoken, those who knew her best delighted in her humor and quick wit. She had a special way with friends, she enjoyed laughing, music, dancing, and good food. Being among the first to offer encouragement, comfort and assistance to those in need, many remember Angie’s kindness, love and dedication to family and friends. Angie met Eddie Doyle Wiese and they married in September 1990, making their home in San Antonio. Throughout her life, Angie had learned much about God and the Bible, but always thirsted for more. She met one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and embarked on a study of the Bible. In her humble and noble-minded manner, she and her Bible teacher would spend hours each week in deep study, eagerly examining several Bible translations to “see whether these things were so” (Acts 17:10). Angie dedicated her life and symbolized her love for Jehovah by water baptism on December 09, 1995. In November 2016, her mother Magdalena passed away at the age of 88. In April of 2017, Eddie passed away. Angie was deeply affected by the tragic loss of the two people she loved most in life. However, she had strong will, love for family and friends and a deeper understanding and trust in her loving Creator. The promise of a resurrection to a restored paradise earth free of imperfection, war, sickness and death, especially helped her to move forward. She remained faithful to Jehovah, his commands and principles for Christian living, until she fell asleep in death on September 2, 2025. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, eldest brother Dionisio and husband Eddie. She is survived by her brothers, Eliseo, Valeriano, Bonifacio, Jesus (Jess), Guillermo, and Maximillian, as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a large family of spiritual brothers and sisters.
