Armando J. Sandoval III
San Antonio, TX – Chief Armando J. Sandoval III, 69, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on November 10, 2023, from Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on June 19, 1954, in Kingsville, TX to Armando Jr. and Sara G. Sandoval.
Chief Sandoval lived his life as a Servant Leader, defined by three principles: his Faith, his Family, and his Service, never asking anything in return. Chief Sandoval began his service to our nation by joining the US Army. After being honorably discharged, Chief Sandoval became a patrol officer with the Corpus Christi State University Police Department. He then remained on continuous duty to God, country, and community for over 40 years, spanning his military and law enforcement career.
Above all, Chief Sandoval cherished family and friends. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sandoval, son Aaron Sandoval and daughter-in-law Lindsey Sandoval, grandchildren Audrey Sandoval and Aaron Sandoval Jr., sisters Janie Cantu and Sylvia Flores, mother-in-law Virginia Holman, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members. Chief Sandoval was a loving partner, caring father, and a loyal friend who touched the lives of many. He dedicated himself to his life mission, which was “Service Before Self – Honor Above All”.
In honor of Chief Sandoval, there will be multiple services held for loved ones to celebrate his life.
Chief, we thank you for your service, valor, mentorship, and devotion to others. Your legacy will live on, you will be deeply missed and forever remembered by your loving family and friends. HOOAH!!!
