Cecilia Perez

Cecelia Perez went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept 2, 2012 at the age of 79. She was born on July 11, 1933 in San Antonio, Tx. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse M. Perez, her son Victor Perez, and brother Gilbert Norman. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Perez Byrd (Don) from Schertz, TX and Dr. Patricia Perez Candia (Abel) from Universal City, TX: son, Daniel Perez (Yolanda) from San Antonio, TX: sisters, Ann Blickenstaff from Hagerstown, MD, Madeline Lester (Dr. Eammon Lester) and brother, Alex Norman from San Antonio, TX. : grandchildren, Rhiannon Candia Pape (Andy) from San Antonio, TX., Geoffrey Candia from San Antonio, TX: Jon Byrd from San San Antonio, TX., and Deanna Byrd Hamblin (Chris) from Bloomington, IL, Persephone Rose from San Antonio: and numerous great-grandchildren.

Cecelia graduated from St. Gerard's High School and St. Philip's College. She worked in the Bexar county District Attorney's Office and served as an election judge. She served many years as precinct chair and was a delegate to the 1992 and 2000 Democratic National convention.

Visitation will start at 5 PM and Rosary at 7:00 PM on Thursday, Sept 6, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. A mass service will be held Friday, Sept 7, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 16075 Evans Rd. Selma, TX. at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Services under the direction of Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
