Charles Edward Lee, Jr., 73, of San Antonio Texas, graduated to Heaven from his earthly home on May 12, 2023, after suffering an Abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Eddie was born September 24, 1949, to Charles Edward Lee and Lorene Elizabeth Studdard in San Antonio Tx. After Eddie Graduated from Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in Amarillo Tx in 1968, he returned to San Antonio to begin a long career as an entrepreneur. In the early 1970's, Eddie moved from San Antonio to El Paso to live and work.
In September of 1974, Eddie hired Beverly Kim Doolittle as his secretary at National Foods Distributor where he was the Sales Manager. After dating for two weeks, he married Beverly, and they began their 48 years of marriage. Eddie and Beverly went on to have two beautiful daughters, Katie Michelle (1975) and Jacquelyn Ann (1986).
In 1977, Eddie, Beverly, and Katie returned to San Antonio where he sold cars for several years. In 1993, Eddie fell in love with landscaping and opened Eddie Lee Lawn and Tree Service. His hard work and creativity put his loving wife through college where she ended up earning a master's degree and at the same time, he provided a private school education for his youngest daughter, Jacquelyn. In 2004, he retired and sold his business. Eddie was very proud to acknowledge the firm foundation he developed as a student at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. He was an active member of the alumni where he served on the college scholarship committee. During the last four years of his life, Eddie served the Crownwood Community as an advisor on the CHRNA Board and as a member of the Bexar County C. O. P.
Eddie was a lover of the outdoors and spent lots of his free time enjoying scuba, water skiing, camping, fishing, hunting, and floating the river with family and friends. Eddie's main sidekicks were his Siberian huskies, Boris and Natasha who spent hours with him in his man cave. He was an avid proponent of Texas Independence and the 2nd Amendment but most of all, he loved the Lord.
Eddie was preceded in death by this mother, Lorene Studdard, his farther, Charles Lee, and his stepmother Dorothy Lee. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly and daughters Katie Michelle Kennedy and Jacquelyn Ann Boxer, as well his "older" sister, Paula Boswell, three nephews, Glen Middleton, Bobby Middleton and Scott Middleton, four grandsons, Montgomery Vandermeer, Caden Boxer, Owen Boxer, and Levi Boxer, four granddaughters Madolyn Vandermeer, Asley Lomas, Sarah Kennedy, and Emily Kennedy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, located at 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Road in San Antonio, Texas 78239.
