Emil Kruciak

July 20, 1926 — February 2, 2015

Mr. Emil C. Kruciak, 88 years of age, passed from this life on Monday, February 2, 2015.
Emil was born July 20, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to Thomas Kruciak and Mary Keller Kruciak.
He married Rose Victoria Broll on June 12, 1948 and they have celebrated 66 years together.
Emil served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and proudly fought for his country. He started as a parts manager for International Harvester, working 30 plus years, finishing his career as one of the implementers of the new Retail Parts Management Systems for I. H. Never leaving a customer without help no matter the hour, whether it be nights, weekends, or holidays.
Emil never met a stranger and was known to spend long periods of time talking with his siblings, friends, and even people he just met.
Like his father, Emil was an avid Houston Astros fan, and passionately followed the Houston Oilers. He enjoyed ranching, as well as hunting doves and deer.
Emil was a proud member of The Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Fatima Council #4315, was a Grand Knight 3rd Degree, and a Faithful Navigator 4th Degree. He joined many Catholic organizations while a member of St. Benedicts Parrish for over 17 years. He was instrumental in the building of this new Parrish. He was a proud member of the American Legion.
Emil, (Popo) was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, godfather, and a great friend. Remembered by all as generous and caring to everyone he met, especially loving his grand children and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wonderful wife Rose, sons and daughters in law: Donald Kruciak & Sharron Bowman, David & Jodie Kruciak. Daughters and son in law; Karin Harris, and Sandra & Albert Sykes. Brother; Thomas Kruciak, Sister; Leatrice Gottardy. 5 grandchildren and their spouses; Nicci Bowman-Fowler and Mateo Fowler, Kandice & Ilya Levental, Stephanie & David Cook, Katelyn & Dodger Campbell, and Dylan Kruciak. 7 great- grandchildren; Gabriel Fowler, Joshua Fowler, Ailee Levental, Emily Levental, Andrew Cook, Alexandria Cook, and Allie Baker. Many friends and extended family.
Emil was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Eddie Kruciak, Bernice Jensen, and Stella Kadura.
Visitation will be held at St. Benedicts Church on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 9:00 AM, Rosary at 10:00 AM with Funeral Mass following. St. Benedicts Church is at 4535 Lord Road, San Antonio, TX.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum; 17501 Nacogdoches Rd. San Antonio, TX.
