Felicitas Gonzalez, age 55, lived in Schertz, TX, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026 at 7:44pm, surrounded by her family. Born to the late Daniel and Romanita Barrera.

Felicitas was the youngest of five children. She was one of many talents, and she dedicated her life to her four daughters. She had a strong passion for cooking. There was always an extra seat at her Sunday dinner table. She was a master at making homemade tortillas, and there was nothing she could not cook. 

She loved her grandchildren and took care of so many people. Felicitas always made others feel safe and comfortable.

Felicitas was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Gonzalez, parents; Daniel, Sr. and Romanita Barrera, and her brother, Daniel Barrera, Jr.

Felicitas is survived by her daughters, Jennifer, Michelle, Emily, Jessica, and her husband, Deira Acosta . Their father, Michael Villanueva, fourteen grandchildren, three sisters; Romanita Urdiales, Celia Hernandez, Josephine Sotello, and her longtime partner, Robert Arenas and family.
