Obituary

The world lost a true champion of kindness on April 15, 2026 at the age of 73 years old Frances V. Lopez from San Antonio, Tx went to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by love and warmth. She was born on February 18, 1953 and was a very proud graduate of Alamo Heights High School. She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Lopez her parents Guadalupe and Alejo Velez her brothers Rudy and Jerry Velez and her sister Ninfa Velez. Left to cherish beautiful memories of love and kindness is her only daughter Angelica Lopez-Ordonez (Miguel Ordonez ) her grandkids Mariah Lopez, Miguel Ordonez Jr., Malacki Ordonez, Micah Ordonez, Mazeak Ordonez, & Mezialynn Ordonez. Her sisters Julie Perez (Gilbert), Yvonne Hughes (Roy), Rosa Campos, her Brothers Alex Velez (Julianna), Richard Velez (Lisa), numerous nieces and nephew’s, god children, family and friends. Frances was a warm loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and very dedicated friend to many.

"Honor her for all that her hands have done,and let her praise and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”She was known for her gorgeous red lips always ready to greet you with a warm, friendly, contagious smile. Her love for Elvis Presley and of course her beloved San Antonio Spurs! She was always ready to faithfully cheer them on game day. Just like she was her grandkids biggest fan always ready to go to any and every event they had to cheer then on as well. She was known for her indomitable spirit and generous heart she left a lasting positive impact on countless individuals through out her life.

To know even one life breathed easier because she lived is to know she truly succeeded while here"

Proverbs 3:5/6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight”She was a force of nature and her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many. She lovedGod first and foremost and was always ready to spread his word. She was a tireless worker and always took pride in her work at HEB for 28 years and Handy Andy before that for 30 years. Serving others gave her great joy! She was a mentor to many. Her greatest joy was doing for others and spending time with her family, friends, and grandkids. She will be deeply missed by many. Her legacy of love, kindness, patience and togetherness will continue to live on for generations to come in those she touched and through her friends, family, daughter and grandkids. Also in all the wonderful wise advice she’s passed on to everyone. She will live on in our hearts and memories forever. She will be truly missed by everyone.
