Ginger Lee Mary Hill

August 8, 1947 — August 25, 2023

To our mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Role Model, Friend,

We will miss you.  We will miss your smile and laughter and zest for life.  We will miss the way you lit up around family and friends on holidays and the late nights spent around the table at Oma’s visiting and reminiscing.   You are a shining example of what it means to be selfless and kind, always putting your family ahead of yourself and never thinking twice about helping another in need.  You took care of us in the hard times and celebrated with us in joyous moments.  You dedicated your life to your work at Santa Rosa and taking care of your family and we are all honored to have shared in your light.  You have left us with a lifetime of memories filled with love and happiness.  From learning to drive and buying your first car, a canary yellow mustang that I remember riding around in (and getting my hand stuck in the door in) as a kid, to the first days of school and Christmas mornings.  You were always there, never missing a beat, letting us know we were loved and supported.   You worked tirelessly to make sure that we had everything we needed.   We know that the last years were not what you would have wanted, but your resilience and strength kept you with us because you knew we weren’t strong enough yet to be without you.  As we look back and bask in the good times, we can’t help but be in awe of everything you accomplished and everything you were.  A few lines in a letter could never sum up the entirety of what you meant to all of us and the love you shared with the world.   You don’t deserve a basic blurb about your accomplishments and a listing of family, you were entirely too creative and vibrant for that, so we couldn’t leave you that way.  But we will leave you with a promise that we will live every day as fully as you did.  We will love loudly and celebrate life and family to the fullest, because that’s what you would have wanted.  We will play our music too loud and laugh inappropriately and always keep you in our minds and hearts.   We love you.

All our love,

Michael and Shana with Evangeline, Caroline, Bonnie and Naomi; Amy with Matthew, Nathan and Alyssa Lee; Ken, Caron and Walter, Judy and Dan, Aaron and Pam, Gary and Gayle, Arnold, Vincent and countless Nieces and Nephews.

Burial will be private.
