Humberto Caballero

Humberto Caballero Sr., 64, died March 22, 2016 with his family by his side in San Antonio, Texas after a short but courageous battle with cirrhosis. He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth M. Caballero, parents Josefina and Jesus R. Caballero, Jr., sister M. Carlota Sosa, brother Raul Daniel Caballero, grandson Paul Caballero, Jr., nephews L. Eloy Sosa, Jr., Roberto Caballero and niece Alma Leticia Caballero. Humberto was born in Laredo, Texas on October 23, 1951 to Josefina and Jesus R. Caballero, Jr. He is survived by his three children Humberto Caballero, Jr. (Amanda), Monica Caballero and Paul Caballero; brother Jesus R. Caballero III; sisters Berta A. Tamez and BiBi Caballero Castaneda; grandchildren Elizabeth Rose Caballero and Humberto X. Caballero III; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and other family and friends. A memorial service and burial will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, TX 78239, on April 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and help celebrate Humberto's life. The family would like to thank all the caregivers and staff at Merida Hospice, University Hospital, and downtown Baptist Memorial Hospital for the excellent care provided to Humberto.
