James Terrel Buchanan

James was born May 12, 1947, in Jerrell, Texas. He passed Sunday May 5th, 2024 at the age of 76, in Marion, Texas. 

Living life full of family and interest. He proudly worked over 50 years at International Paper Co, retiring just a few years ago. He enjoyed many hobbies, foremost fishing and hunting, and then telling the stories of his fishing and hunting. He also loved to dine out at his favorite restaurants.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Linda Kay Buchanan. Daughters Cynthia Joyce Buchanan, Shauna Leigh & Greg Gordon, Step Daughters Michelle Lynn & Oliver Craig Oatman, Melanie Dawn & Rodney Vale. Grandchildren, Cameron Chase Rader & Mackenzie Mills Rader, Madison Nicole & Adam Forrest Benthul, Star Alexandria Gordon-DeLeon and Justin Christopher Deleon, Staci Renee and Gene Edward Russell III, Cori Teschaunn Vale, Talisyn Justyne Vale & Reed Pace, Kaylynn Dawn Vale & Hunter Valdez and Tagen Riley Vale. Great-Grandchildren Gene Edward Russell IV and Patrick Chase Rader.
