John Henry Blum

SMSGT John Henry Blum, age 80 of San Antonio, TX passed away on November 8, 2019. He was born on January 26, 1939 to Elsie (White) and Jacob Blum in Chicago, IL. John served in the Army for 8 years and the Air Force for 18 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 16 years before retiring full time. John is survived by his wife of 50 years Vanna (Songmuang). John is also survived by his sister Marie Freibroth, brother Gene Blum, and sister Rosemary Thomas; daughters Rosa (Jason) Lewis and Debbie (Chad) Stallings; grandchildren John Lewis, Sarah Lewis, Emma Lewis, Cody Stallings, and Claire Stallings. He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Elsie Blum, as well as his sister Elsie Moore.
A service will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on November 8, 2019 at 12:30 pm.
