Our beloved Joseph Anthony DeLuna went to meet his savior on March 17, 2024 at the age of 25. Joseph was born December 18, 1998, in Baytown, TX to Juan Jesus De Luna and Tami Mejia DeLuna.
Joseph was known for always being the life of the party, as he would always have something up his sleeve to make you laugh. His laugh and smile were certainly contagious. He enjoyed telling his silly jokes, especially the “what if” questions he would ask each and everyone of us. Even if you had a bad day, he would certainly brighten up your spirits.
Some of his favorite things to do was spending time with his mom, brothers and the entire family. Especially playing basketball at Popo’s house with his brothers and cousins. Joseph also enjoyed playing a good card game where his winning status was questionable.
He was also a very neat and tidy individual, like his dad. He liked things to be in their place. His room and car were always squeaky clean. When his dad passed away, when he was 10 years old he became the man of the house and as he got older, he definitely tried to fill those shoes.
Joseph was currently employed at Lone Star Bakery. He was a hard worker with an awesome work ethic and a very devoted employee.
Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Juan Jesus DeLuna. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Tami DeLuna, brothers; Aaron and Isiah DeLuna, his grandparents; Enrique (Rick) Mejia, Christine Garcia, aunts; Traci Pogue (Jacob) and Tina Mejia. Cousins, Esteban Smith, Jacob Pogue, Jr., and Julieanne Pogue. He also survived by several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
