Joseph Robert White passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and his best friends on July 17, 2026. He was a Vietnam Era, United States Air Force Veteran, and he retired after a stellar civilian career at Randolph Air Force base after a combined total of 41 years service.

 Affectionately known as Joe, Dada Joe, Professor and Dr. White, he was a pianist and organist extraordinaire. In 2019, he was conferred an honorary doctorate in Christian Music.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and his best friends, Arthur and Debbie. They traveled together extensively. His quiet, unassuming presence will be missed by his wife of 35 years, Vickie, his son; Joseph, daughter; Stephanie, best friends; Arthur and Debbie, nephew, Michael and niece Janice, Ivory Reign and King Ira.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, and his beloved Nola Mae.Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (for we walk by faith, not by sight:) we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
