Juan Nunez Ruelas, 90 years old, of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 28, 2026. Born in Waco, Texas on March 30, 1936, to Facundo and Silvestra Ruelas. He was a field worker for many years, where he met his wife, in 1958. On January 10, 1959, he married his wife, Petra Ruelas. His long life career was a mechanic.

Outside of work, he enjoyed visits from grandkids and great-grandkids. He loved snacks and candy, especially when it was gifted by the great-grandkids. His joy was the family visits.

He is survived by his wife, Petra; his children, Eleuterio Ruelas, Santiago Ruelas, Juan (Patricia) Ruelas Jr, Norma (Larry) Servin, Albert Ruelas, and Leonor (Ralph) Olivarez. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 6 brothers, His son, Armando Ruelas and daughter, Irma Escalante. He was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd San Antonio, Tx 78239, on July 6, 2026, at 4pm - 8pm. Family and friends are invited to attend to pay their respects.
