Kimberly Green

September 10, 1965 — October 7, 2016

Kimberly Hope Green, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on October 7th, 2016, after a long illness. She was born in North Carolina on August 10th, 1965, and married Irl Green seven years ago. "She was so strong, whatever she put her mind to, she would do. Whoever she befriended, she gave them all she could to be the best friend she could be. Whoever she loved, she gave it her all even if they didn't. Because of that, we vowed to love each other for all time and eternity. She was the kind of person who could inspire. She gave them hope. Her middle name was perfect for her despite all the tragedies and setbacks in her life. She gave people hope in all of its' fullest extent. Before we were married she had a bad surgical problem, but that didn't stop us. We worked together and had a blended family. Her motto was 'Our children are the same. We love them all like our own.' She put everyone else's problems before her own. She was selfless. She said she could not memorize any scripture except John 3:16. She loved the Lord. She prayed each morning. We prayed together daily. We attended church until she couldn't any longer but we kept praying and learning of the Lord's mercy. Her life embodied the teachings from Philippians 4:4-6 (New Living Testament): "Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say again...Rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God you need and thank Him for all He has done.' Her favorite plaque says 'Live, Laugh, Love.' We lived, we laughed, we loved each other to the fullest. She was my world, my life, my perfect love. I thanked God for her everyday. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. And one day soon, I will join her and we will be together again in the presence of God and our Savior for all time." Kimberly is survived by her husband Irl, their children; Zach, Jeremy, Amber and Deidre; and grandchildren Aiden, Luke, Charles and Bo. A funeral will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Tx 78239.
