Louis Laija Menchaca, Sr.

Louis L. Menchaca, Sr., beloved, father to Louis A. (Lori) and Walter L. (Shari) and husband of the late Gregoria (Georgia) Menchaca entered eternal life on October 5, 2023. He is preceded in death by brothers, Elias and Romolo, sister Irene, and niece Deborah Landez.

In addition to his sons (Louis and Walter) he is survived by grandsons Louis Alan (Victoria Dexter) and Brent Austin Menchaca, niece Barbara Reyes (Jerry), niece Hope Arredondo, and sister Dora Soto. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Dad was a life-long Christian, serving several congregations with his music talents (trumpet) and volunteerism in various aspects. Before retirement, Louis L. was employed by Standard Industries and Avis Rental Corporation. His superiors were always impressed with his work ethic and work camaraderie. While he reveled in listening to Jazz, fishing, and visiting the Texas coastline, his true passion in life was that of being a husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
