Obituary

Celebrating the Life of Brian John Mahan Brian Mahan, a loving husband, peacefully passed away on 6/29/2026, in TX, at the age of 76. Born in New Jersey, Brian spent his early years there before proudly answering the call to serve his country. In 1970, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he dedicated 20 years of distinguished service. His military career took him to South Korea, a place that held a special meaning for him. It was there, in 1978, that he married his lifelong companion and the love of his life, Sandy. Following his passion for education, Brian graduated from Texas Lutheran University. He continued to serve honorably until his retirement from the Air Force in 1990, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service. Those who knew Brian will remember his vibrant spirit and his distinct joy for life. He was an avid golfer who found peace and camaraderie on the green. He had a profound love for children; he cherished not only his own family but also joyfully looked after the children of his friends and relatives, a testament to his generous and caring nature. One of Brian's greatest joys was traveling with his family. He and Sandy explored the world together, embarking on numerous cruises and visiting countless countries, creating unforgettable memories with their loved ones. His love for travel and adventure was only matched by his deep devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
