Omar
Mendiola
December 13, 1980 – March 27, 2026
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35
Omar Noe Mendiola passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 45. He was born on December 13, 1980, in Laredo, Texas, to Ricardo and Cecilia Muñoz Mendiola.
Omar met the love of his life, Rocio, 22 years ago, and together they built a life he was deeply proud of. Being a devoted husband, father, and new grandfather was the foundation of his world.
Omar was loud, hard-working, easygoing, fun-loving, adventurous, and full of joy. His impact was seen and felt even throughout his final week. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and the many friends who became like family. He rarely met a stranger and often walked away from every conversation with a new friend. His smile lit up every room, and his kindness and passion for helping others touched countless lives.
Though he is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.
Omar is survived by his loving wife, Rocio; their children, Victor, Kaytlan, Isaac, Victoria, and Noe; and his beautiful granddaughter, Emberly. Also survived by his parents, Ricardo and Cecilia Mendiola; his siblings, Ric, Monica (Melvin), and Zaida (Joey); along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved and spoiled. Omar was adored by his in-laws, Victor & Margarita Valdez, who embraced him as a son.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fredrico and Margarita Muñoz of Bruni, Texas, and his paternal grandparents, Erasmo and Eudelia Mendiola of Oilton, Texas.
