Patsy Jarvis

Patsy Ruth Jarvis, 84, of Cibolo, Texsa went to be with the Lord Monday, April 23rd, 2018. She was born to Louis and Vivian Turner Lee on May 1st, 1933 in Gatsville, Texas. At the age of five her family moved to San Antonio, Texas where she grew up and graduated from Bracken Ridge High School in 1951.

She was employee of Sears when she met the love of her life, John K Jarvis, who was a Bexar County Deputy Sheriff of San Antonio at that time. They raised their son, James and lived in San Antonio and Bracken before settling permanently in Cibolo. They were married 54 years.

Patsy's passion in life besides being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker was to help people in her community. She especially loved helping children and senior citizens. Some highlights of her life's work were: volunteer and active at The Country Church and Everyday Church, a charter member of Bracken Volunteer Fire Department, active member of Guadalupe County Republican Party, former president of PTA during her Sun School years, served on the Child Welfare Board of Guadalupe County to help foster children in need. She was especially proud of working for Greater Randolph Area Service Program, a United Way Agency that helps families and senior citizens in need. She retired from GRASP after 25 years of service. She was senior services director for GRASP Senior Center in Converse prior to retirement.

Pat is survived by her son James K. Jarvis and his wife Tammy Jarvis, her nieces and nephews Donna Joyce Reyes, Debra Joyce Alemen, Stephen Charles LeBuhn, Michael Walter LeBuhn, Kevin Mark LeBuhn, Cynthia, Gene and Suzannah (Caton) McVarish, and numerous grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth Jarvis, parents Louis and Vivan Turner Lee, sister Wanda Belle LeBuhn, brother Don Haines Lee, brother in law Jack LaBuhn, and nephew Richard Wayne LaBuhn.

She will be missed by her family and her many friends that she has made throughout the years.

A celebration of Patsy's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at The Country Church in Fellowship Hall located at 1005 W FM 78 West, Marion, Texas 78219. Pastor Butch Ikels will be presiding. Food and fellowship to follow after the service.
