Peter Henry

April 28, 1951 — July 13, 2020

Peter York Henry, age 69, of San Antonio, passed away in the late evening hours of Monday, July 13, 2020 surrounded by his beloved family.  Almost a year after his diagnosis, Peter lost his battle to lung cancer.

Peter is the 2nd oldest of four children to David Howe Henry II and Margaret Beard Henry.  He attended and graduated from Mercersburg Academy in 1969 and then went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Ohio University in 1973. Soon after, Peter moved to San Antonio to attend Law School at St. Mary's University and began his life-long career practicing law in 1977. In the early 80s, he went on to open his sole practitioner office where he practiced personal injury and family law for the remainder of his life. As a result of his commitment to his profession, many clients, peers, and colleagues became lifelong friends.

Peters hobbies included bowling, golfing, and pool. He was a part of various leagues throughout the years. He also enjoyed reading mystery/action novels, watching movies, Christmas, and most importantly spending time with his significant other, family, and friends. Those who knew Peter will always remember him for his generosity, sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends.

Peter is survived by his significant other, Kay Morgan; sons, Ryan Henry, Zachary Henry and Chance Henry; grandson, Zachary Cash Henry; and by siblings, David Henry, Susan Henry Morin and Michael Henry.

In Lieu of a funeral, Peter's wishes were to have his ashes spread at Seneca Lake in Geneva, NY where many cherished family memories were made throughout his life. This memorial is still being planned and details will be shared at a later date.
