Quint Payton

Quint Guadalupe Payton passed away suddenly on Friday, April 22, 2016 at his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was 33 years old. He was born in Long Beach, California on January 3rd, 1983 to Duane and Blanca Payton. Married to Kristy Payton, Quint was an ambitious young man who started his family at a young age as his dream was for a large family. A humble man who loved to converse with older people, he grew up very fast mentally and loved to work and take care of his family. Quint joined the United States Army at the age of 17 to become a Combat Medical Specialist and was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. From there he was deployed to Kuwait after the 9/11 attacks. During his brief time in the service he completed the Emergency Medical Technician course, Trauma AIMS course, Hospital Trauma Life Support, received his Driver Badge, Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Services Ribbon and Expert Field Medical Badge. He also worked to support our soldiers in Kuwait and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. From there, he moved to San Antonio to be close to his parents. He began working in the oil industry and became Assistant Manager for RSI Oil Field Support Company. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Quint leaves behind three sons, Daniel Lee, Angelo Quint, and Donovan Lallito Payton; three daughters, Jaylynn Naomi Mebane, Charity Love, and Faith Marie Payton; and his brother Clifford Eastwood Payton. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 28, 2016, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, TX 78239. A memorial service will be Friday, April 29, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 515 North St., Converse, TX 78109 (off FM 78). He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, May 6th at 10:15 AM.
