Ramon Estrada

Our father Ramon M. Estrada went to be with the LORD on August 23, 2012 at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family. Ramon was born on August 31st, 1928 in Rolling Folk, Mississippi and moved to Texas in the late 1940's where he proudly served his Nation by enlisting in the United States Army on January 21, 1953 serving in the Korean War. Upon returning from his tour Ramon was Honorably Discharged on December 31, 1960. Ramon was the founder and owner of the Cabana Night Club in the heart of downtown San Antonio in the early 1960's. Shortly after Ramon moved to Houston, Tx and began work as a butcher for Rice Food Market, retiring after 23.5 years of dedicated service. Ramon then moved back to San Antonio, Tx in 1994 where he helped run the family owned business Eastwood Cleaners, as a dry cleaner for over 15 years. Around this time Ramon was diagnosed with prostrate cancer and decided to enjoy his retirement by making numerous trips to Houston, Chicago, Louisiana , Mississippi and his favorites KICK-A-POO in Eagle Pass, Tx and Las Vegas, Nv.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping,fishing, boating, bar-b-ques, and spending priceless times with his grandchildren.
Ramon was preceded in death by his Mother, Eutiquis Munoz, Father, Pascuel Estrada and daughter, Rosemary D. Rodriguez. He is survived by his Wife, Teresa G. Estrada, Daughters, Rachel San Miguel, Lisa Esquivel, Gracie Estrada, and Yolanda Rodriguez, Sons, Louis Lazano Nick Garcia, Richard, Paul, Frank and Michael De La Fuente, Sisters, Inez Garza, Chelo Leos, Janie Chelmis, and Tencha Garcia . Ramon was blessed with 25 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
