Raul V. Buentello

On May 14, 2024, at 10:05 a.m. Raul was called to his “Heavenly Home” where he is now celebrating life with his parents: Elias and Juanita Buentello, his brother, Elias Buentello Jr. “Eli” Niece Martha Jane Buentello, and Nephew Noah James Ortiz.

Raul was a 1984 Lanier High School Graduate and will always be remembered by his friendly smile and ‘Whitty’ sense of humor. He loved eating out with family and friends and could drink a pitcher of ice tea on his own. He loved wearing baseball caps and watching Television shows with his mom. Raul worshipped and was a member at P.I.B.F.M. for many years. His favorite verse was Matthew 6:34(NIV) “Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself.”

Raul is survived by his son, Raul Adam Buentello, Granddaughter, Esmeralda “Esme” older sister Pearl Ortiz (Manuel Ortiz) , and younger sister, Janie Laurel (Rick Laurel); Nephews: Andrew (Christina), Christian, Nehemiah and Caleb Ortiz, Christopher Ortiz, Aaron Ortiz (Samantha), and David Laurel. Nieces: Liana Esparza (Brian), Alaina and Levi Esparza, Hannah Perez (Nicholas), and Viviana Laurel. 

He will certainly be missed by his family and many friends.
