Ricardo Galan

Ricardo Galan, 42, of Schertz, TX, passed away on April 21, 2025.

Born in San Antonio, TX in 1982 to Marco Polo Galan and Maria Guadalupe Perez Galan, Ricardo spent his life rooted in the city he loved. He attended Samuel Clemens High School and devoted much of his time as a caretaker for his grandmother and mother.

A true sports enthusiast, Ricardo was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves, and he proudly cheered for the San Antonio Spurs and the Texas Longhorns. His infectious, genuine laugh and easygoing nature made him a beloved presence among his family and friends. Ricardo loved talking sports, sharing weather updates, passing along special deals, and keeping his loved ones informed about local events—all ways he showed how much he cared.

Above all, Ricardo was known for his kindness. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help a friend or family member in need. He was a great listener, offering support without judgment, and his compassion left a lasting impact on everyone he knew.

Ricardo was preceded in death by his father, Marco Polo Galan. He is survived by his mother, Maria G. Galan; his brothers, Marco Polo Galan, Jr., Leo Galan, and Ernesto Galan; his grandmother, Jovita Terrasaz; his nieces, Miracle Galan, Kylie Galan, Liliana Galan, and Briana Galan; his nephew, Ashton Galan; and his sisters-in-law, Melissa Galan and Stephanie Galan.

Ricardo was an exceptional son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend—a truly remarkable human being. His absence leaves a hole that cannot be filled, and he will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
