Rita June Diaz-Navarro was born June 7, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Roberto Diaz, Jr. and Manuela Diaz. Both parents preceded her in death.

Rita later moved to El Paso, Texas and it was there that she completed her education at Jefferson High School. She was employed by the Department of Defense (DOD) for many years, and she was later employed by the Department of Justice-Western District, San Antonio, Texas. She was proud to be recognized as the first Hispanic female to hold the position of Special Assistant to the Federal United States District Attorney-Western District.

Rita and her husband Juan were married for 20 years. She enjoyed cats, dogs, and flowers.

Rita leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Juan, children: Eric Bryan Navarro, Esai Navarro, Layra Navarro, Angel Gonzalez, Jr., Erica K. Gonzalez, Adrian N. Gonzalez, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
