In Loving Memory of Roger Moreau
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Roger Moreau, who left this world only months after saying farewell to his beloved wife of 55 years, Marie Marcelle Moreau. Though their departures came close together, those who knew them take comfort in believing they are reunited again—two lives inseparable in love, now at peace side by side.
Born on July 16, 1944, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Roger immigrated to the United States with determination and hope for a brighter future. He was proud to serve in the U.S. military, carrying with him a strong sense of duty, discipline, and integrity that shaped every chapter of his life.
Above all, Roger was a devoted family man. His wife, children, and grandchildren were truly the center of his world. He possessed a amusingly unique sense of humor—one he certainly thought was far funnier than anyone else did—and though his jokes often arrived at the most inappropriate moments, they became a beloved and unmistakable part of who he was. His honesty was legendary, and so was his lack of a filter. While it occasionally tested the patience of those he loved, his authenticity made him unforgettable: genuine, unpretentious, and unapologetically himself.
Roger leaves behind his children, grandchildren, and an extended family who will forever hold close his stories, his stubborn wit, and the love he gave so freely. His passing marks the close of a beautiful era—but the strength, resilience, loyalty, optimism, and love he instilled will continue to guide his family for generations to come.
He is now at rest.
Forever in our hearts.
