Roland Barrera

Roland Henry Barrera of San Antonio, Texas passed away on October 21, 2016 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He served in the US Army for three years and nine years in the Texas National Guard. He loved to hunt, fish, bow and arrow hunt, and explore genealogy. He is preceded in death by his father Albert Barrera Jr. mother Virginia Barrera, brother Albert Barrera III, son Roland H. Barrera Jr.his granddaughter Danielle N. Ramirez. He is survived by his wife Adelina G. Barrera, three daughters; Lisa B. Ramirez ( Mark A. Ramirez ), Ida B. Ortiz ( Albert Ortiz ) and Cynthia A. Castillo ( Alex Castillo). He had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church located at 102 Lorenz Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78209 on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 5: PM to 9: PM with a Rosary held at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10:30 AM. with the burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery San Antonio, Texas.
