She was born on August 14, 1950, in Villa Victoria, Michoacán, Mexico, to Pedro Delgado Tafolla and Guadalupe Delgado Barrera. Nació el 14 de agosto de 1950 en Villa Victoria, Michoacán, México, hija de Pedro Delgado Tafolla y Guadalupe Delgado Barrera.

Yolanda lived a joyful life filled with love, laughter, faith, and friendship. She was known for her vivacious spirit, her love of cumbia music, singing, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. Yolanda vivió una vida llena de alegría, amor, fe y amistad. Era conocida por su espíritu vivaz, su amor por la música de cumbia, el canto y por hacer sentir bienvenidos a todos.

Deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, she was actively involved in her church community, where she especially enjoyed singing in the choir and helping whenever she could. Profundamente dedicada a su fe católica, participaba activamente en su comunidad parroquial, donde disfrutaba especialmente cantar en el coro y ayudar en todo lo que podía.

Affectionately known to many as “Grandma,” Yolanda welcomed everyone with open arms. She had a special gift for connecting with people of all ages and believed that love, faith, and community were the heart of a meaningful life. She is survived by her five children: Elizabeth, Rocio Araceli (Chely), Azusena (Suzie), Angel, and Daniel; along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Yolanda leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Rosary will be Thursday January 15,2026 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at St Joan of Arc in the Parish Hall; A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on January 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, TX 78239.
