Zachariah Andrew Paul Gentry, age 31, of Universal City, passed away tragically in the late morning hours of Saturday, January 2, 2021, in a motorcycle accident. Zachariah was born on December 5, 1989 in San Antonio, Texas to James Gardinier and Carolyn Gentry Gensburg. Zachariah married the love of his life and his best friend, Christina Marie Mendez, on February 7, 2015. Together they saw the highs in life of becoming the parents of two babies, lived the loss of a child, and shared a lifetime of memories through the trials that life can create.
Those who knew Zachariah best will remember him as a troublemaker, but nothing that wasn’t meant to get a laugh. His mischievous smile would light up a room and his well-timed joke could catch anyone off guard. Zachariah worked in construction and specialized in remodels. He worked hard to provide for his family and would always find a way to provide. Zachariah leaves behind a legacy of life and laughter that will serve as a guiding light for his beloved little girl, Aaliyah.
Zachariah is survived by wife, Christina; daughters, Lilyanne Gentry and Aaliyah Gentry; father, James Gardinier; mother, Carolyn Gensburg; siblings, Laryssa Gentry and Marquis Gentry; mother-in-law, Carolina Mendez; brothers and sisters-in-law; James Mendez, and wife Jessica, Julia Mendez, and David Jurado; and by a host of other relatives and very special friends.
Zachariah was preceded in death by his son, Ariah James Alexander Gentry; by his grandmother, Angela Gentry; and father-in-law, James E. Mendez.
