Michael Spencer

Michael Leonard Spencer to family, but also known to friends and fans as “Tre”, was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 6, 1977.  He was the youngest of three sons born to Malachi Spencer Jr, and one of two sons born to Nancy Bridgette Spencer (Stansell).

Michael attended and graduated in 1996, from Judson High School located in Converse, Texas.  Upon completing high school Michael would eventually enroll in the Job Corp, where he spent intermittent time.  While enrolled in Job Corp, he followed his second love of working in the culinary arts.  Next to making his music, cooking was a close second.

Michael departed this earthly world, and was called home by our Lord and Savior, on Saturday, May 8, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his half-brother, Marlon Lamar Harris.

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Nancy Spencer and Malachi Spencer Jr.  His brother, Malachi Spencer III (his wife Melissa Lopez-Spencer).  His children, Samantha R. Spencer, Jazmine T. Spencer, Michael L. Spencer Jr., and “Trevon”.  His grandchildren, Jhenae A. Coleman, and Jesius R. Spencer.  His nieces and nephews, Samiah L. Spencer (Demetrius A. Carroll), Dominic T. Lopez, and Maliyah Y. Spencer.

A host of aunts, uncles and cousins stretching from coast to coast, and a special thank you to those that have traveled a great distance to be here with Michael on his day.

The family would also like to thank Jennifer Kerr, and Angie Rodriguez (Kassandra, Brandon, Isaac, and Tatiana), for loving Michael, and being a significant part of his life and journey.  To Danyel Shabazz AKA “Q”, and Tyrone Garnett, a personal thank you goes out to you both for being his brothers, having those tough talks, and keeping him grounded.
