Ramiro Rodriguez Iii

On Friday, April 16th, 2021, Ramiro Armando Rodriguez III, loving husband to Becky, adoring father to Aurora, caring son, generous brother, and true friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loving wife until his final moments in San Antonio, Texas.

Ram was preceded by his father Ramiro Rodriguez Jr. Ram is survived by his wife and daughter, Becky and Aurora Rodriguez; his mother, Marina Rodriguez; his five siblings, Monica Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez (Shannon Priesler), Ruben Rodriguez, Rolando Rodriguez (Lenaida Rodriguez), Marisa Rodriguez; his niece and nephew Eden Priesler and Landon Rodriguez; and lastly, his loyal Crusher-puppy.

Ram was born in Fargo, North Dakota on February 17, but he made it down to his cherished Texas as soon as he could and spent most of his life there. Ram attended Brigham Young University for a couple years until he went on to serve the people of the San Fernando Valley in California during his two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After a brief time at home, Ram lived in the Greater Salt Lake City Area, Houston, TX, then back to his first love, San Antonio where he met his future wife, Becky.

Ram and Becky were married in New Braunfels, Texas in November 2015. They enjoyed wedded bliss, but did not realize their capacity for love until, two years into their marriage, when they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Aurora. Ram was enchanted by his Princess Aurora and he loved her wholly and completely; Aurora was the ctrl+v to Ram’s ctrl+c.

Throughout his life, completely confident in his own skin, Ram, marched to the beat of his own drum. But it was not just a drum, it was a tapestry of musical instruments that played for him in a way that was unique to Ram’s beautiful soul. Ram was well-rounded and could as easily navigate conversations about John Steinbeck novels, to the theology of Calvin and Hobbes, to his beloved San Antonio Spurs, and everything in between. Ram was a lifelong learner and will be remembered for his curious nature as evidenced by his love of learning, passion for reading, and interest in alien documentaries.

Ram felt a duty to his whole family and took the role of husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin seriously. Ram knew no stranger and was loved by everyone who had a chance to know his kind heart, clever wit, sincere smile, and generous nature. Ram was a true friend in every sense of the word; loyal, caring, genuine and always willing to share or serve. Those characteristics, among others, will live on through his family, wife, but mostly his Tiny, Aurora. We are blessed with the knowledge of eternal families and look forward to our reunion with Ram.

The Viewing will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held afterwards at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints at 1:00 p.m., with the Interment to follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
