Stanley Davis

November 15, 1960 — May 28, 2021

Stanley Eugene Davis, of Converse, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 28, 2021, at the age of 60 after a brief illness. Stan was born in Sherman, Texas on November 15, 1960 to William and Nelda Davis.

Stan is preceded in death by his older brother Jackie Davis and his wife Cathy and his niece Savannah Marie.

Stan is survived by his parents, William and Nelda Davis, his brother Steve Davis and his wife Sandy, his sister Pam McLean and her husband Ron. Known as “Uncle Stan or Uncle Stanley,” he is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 32 great nieces and nephews.

Stan was a 1980 graduate of Randolph High School. Stan was a man of great faith and it showed in all that he did. Known for inviting friends and acquaintances to attend church, his evangelism was known throughout his community and his place of employment, H-E-B, where he worked for 17 years. Everywhere he went, whether it was a restaurant, a store or even appointments with his parents, Stan would invite others to church and give a “God bless you!”

Stan loved his church family at True Life Church where he was an active member for 47 years. Stan was active in contributing to missions sharing the word of God with others.

Stan loved being an uncle. He would take his nieces and nephews on a walk down the street to Dairy Queen for ice cream singing “Hopping Down the Bunny Trail” as they went along. He would also take them to the park along with their friends and play board games with them as well.

Stan was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Houston Texans, and the New Orleans Saints.

A Visitation will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, May 12, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held afterwards at the True Life Church, 202 W. Byrd, Universal City.
